Garrisons Supportive Living is a low intensity residential treatment center located in the Virginia Beach – Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Many of our clients struggle with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our treatment plans are person-centered with our patients’ recovery a priority.

Residential Treatment
Garrisons Supportive Living offers a private home based treatment residence to provide a safe, secure environment. At GSL, residents can develop/practice early recovery skills such as resilience and refusal; experience the support of others in a recovery-oriented setting; and prepare for successful transition to the community.
Substance Abuse Treatment
Planned clinical program activities of directed treatment offered to stabilize and maintain the residents substance use disorder symptoms, and to help him or her develop and apply recovery skills. Activities may include relapse prevention, exploring interpersonal choices, and development of a social network supportive of recovery.
Co-Occurring Mental Disorders
In some cases, substance use begins to control symptoms of a mental health issue such as anxiety, depression, or PTSD. In such cases, treating both conditions simultaneously is essential to the foundation for lasting recovery. Garrisons Supportive Living staff works closely with guests who have a co-occurring diagnosis to develop a plan for overall wellness.
Our Method
Focused Treatment
An individualized treatment plan is created for the patient, which involves problems, needs, strengths, skills, priority formulation, and articulation of short term, measurable treatment goals, preferences, and activities designed to achieve those goals.
Private Residence
Here at Garrisons Supportive Living, we offer treatment in a private residence in which guests can have freedom of privacy in their own home dwellings unlike many intensive hospital settings. Call today to schedule a tour of the properties available.
24 HR coverage
Allied health professional staff, such as counselor aides or group living workers, are available on-site 24 hours a day. Our team is composed of credentialed addiction and mental health professionals. Staff available to assist residents.
Evidence Based Treatment
There’s no one-size-fits-all solution for recovery. Garrison’s Supportive Living uses an integrated and evidence-based approach to treatment designed to address the specific needs of each individual. These approaches include but are not limited to cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and narrative therapies.
Confidentiality
Garrisons Supportive Living will protect information shared in confidence. Residents should feel free to fully disclose sensitive personal information to enable us to most effectively provide needed services. We have an ethical obligation to preserve the confidentiality of information gathered in association with the care of the patient.
Continuing Care Plan
Following residential treatment, residents receive continued care plans that outline the next steps on their recovery journey. Our goal is for patients to smoothly transition to lower levels of treatments such as outpatient programs or 12 step recovery groups. Every continued plan of care is tailored to fit patients needs.
